The Brief History of Eiger

The history of Eiger Torrance can be traced back to the late 1800s when John and Thomas Torrance started a business in Britton, Bristol designing and manufacturing equipment for the paper coating industries.

John and Thomas soon expanded into designing machinery for the growing paint industry and developed an engineering business famous throughout the world.

In 1989, Torrance & Sons was purchased by Eiger Engineering of Warrington and Eiger Torrance was born.

Eiger currently produces a large range of laboratory, production mixers and bead mills for industries ranging from specialised coatings for the automotive industry through to architectural paints

Since the formation of Eiger Torrance, we have continued to develop as a company and have agents and distributors throughout the world. We also have expanded the range of products we distribute to include the Cornell range of Versator, the BWS Supraton range of the in-line homogenisers and the Multi-Mix Laboratory and Production Disperser.
